Only in Diani. From the reef to the rainforest, the south coast packs more into a short drive than most destinations manage in a week. These are the experiences our guests talk about long after they've flown home.

Things to Do

Wasini Island & Kisite Marine Park Board a traditional dhow at dawn, look for wild dolphins in the open water, then snorkel a coral garden that looks like an aquarium. Finish with a fresh seafood lunch on the island.
Shimba Hills National Park Just inland, ancient rainforest and rolling green hills shelter sable antelope, elephants and hundreds of bird species. It's a safari feel without the long drive, and an easy day out from the beach.
Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest Walk with a local guide through a protected Mijikenda forest, home to colobus monkeys and centuries of coastal tradition. It's quiet, personal and unlike anything on the beach strip.
Kitesurfing & Water Sports Diani's steady winds and flat lagoon make it one of Africa's best kite spots. Beginners and pros alike will find lessons, gear and good company.
Sunset Dhow Cruise Drift out on a wooden sailing boat as the sky turns amber. Cold drinks, warm breeze, nothing else on the agenda.
Shimoni Caves & Slave Trade Route (optional history add-on) Step into the coral caves at Shimoni and hear the stories of the coast's layered past, from a guide who tells them well.

Free Ask Question?

When is the best time to visit Diani?

Diani is a year-round beach destination. The driest, sunniest months are December to March and July to October, with calm seas and great visibility for snorkelling. The long rains fall around April and May, when prices are lower and the coast is lush and quiet. Not sure which suits you? Ask us and we'll match the season to your plans.

What's included in your tours?

Every itinerary lists exactly what's covered, but most include a professional local guide, transport, park or marine fees where applicable, and meals or refreshments as specified. Anything extra is clearly flagged upfront, so there are no surprises when you pay.

How do I get to Diani from the airport?

Fly into Diani's Ukunda Airstrip (UKA) for a beach-side landing, or into Moi International Airport in Mombasa, roughly a 90-minute road-and-ferry transfer. We can meet you on arrival and take you straight to your hotel.

Can you combine Diani with a safari?

Absolutely, and it's one of our favourite itineraries. Pair a few days in Tsavo, Amboseli or the Masai Mara with a beach finish in Diani, and you get the full Kenya story in one trip. We handle the flights and transfers in between.

Is Diani safe and family-friendly?

Yes. Diani is a well-established resort area, popular with families, couples and solo travellers. Our team will share practical, up-to-date tips on where to go and how to get around, and every tour comes with a guide who knows the area well.

Can you customise a trip or arrange a private tour?

That's our specialty. Tell us your dates, your group and your dream days, and we'll shape an itinerary around them, from honeymoons to multi-generational family holidays.
