Amazing 2 Day Tsavo East Safari with overnight stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge Our plan was to spend 10 days on the beach doing nothing so a safari trip was not on the cards and very much a last minute thing. Our hotel recommended Marco Polo Safaris and Marco suggested the overnight stop at Voi Wildlife Lodge. It was a 7am start and a 3.5 hour drive to Tsavo East with a comfort break along the way. They are improving the roads for the heavy lorry traffic and as such it did take a little longer to get there and back then it should do. Our driver, Sifa, was amazing and got us there safe and sound. We then had a 2 hour game drive through the park to get to our lodge where we had lunch and some down time. Sifa then took us out for another 2 hour game drive and as soon as we entered we saw hundreds of elephants, and I mean hundreds. We have been to the Masai Mara and Kruger before but I have never seen so many elephants. In addition to Giraffes, Zebra and Antelope we were really lucky to also see 2 lion cubs that afternoon doing their Simba and Mustafa impression sat up on a rock whilst there parents went off in search of food. The evening was spent at the hotel which had a large watering hole with viewing platform where we could watch the hippo, elephants, buffalo and antelope whilst enjoying dinner and a much needed cold beer! It was an early start again at 7am for a further 2 hour game drive before starting our journey back to Diani Beach. Sifa knew we wanted to see more lions and possibly cheetah if possible and kept in constant radio contact with other drivers for possible sightings. Our 2 lion cubs had moved on and been joined by mum and dad who were all having an early morning snooze. It was just fabulous! My husband has always wanted to see a cobra and was absolutely thrilled to see a King Cobra and Spitting Cobra out in the wild. Thankfully, we didnt get too close! I would absolutely recommend this trip and it is really good value for money. Make sure you ask for Sifa as your guide because he is just great. The hotel was basic (supposedly 4 star) but where maybe it was somewhat dated, the watering hole viewing more than made up for it.

The Best Safari! We had an 11 day safari with Marco Polo safaris and it was the best experience. I enquired with many companies before travelling and Marco was great at replying and giving advice on the best way to do such a long safari which included an internal flight and a hot air balloon trip. There is always a worry about making payments in advance but that's where trust is essential and I would not hesitate to use Marco again or to recommend him and his company to anyone. He even booked and arranged our hotel at Diani beach which saved us time and effort.

We had 2 drivers for our Safari. Michaeal Kimeu took us on the first half and he was just the best. Michael was a careful and considerate driver, had a great, genuine personality and did everything he could to get us to see the animals. Boniface (Bonnie) was our second driver and he was equally good. He took us to all the beautiful spots and managed to get us to see some amazing sites of lions straight after a kill (not for the faint hearted!).

As I said before, I would definitely recommend Marco Polo safaris and I hope you get to see all of the things we saw plus more.

The amazing red sand of Tsavo East We went on an overnight safari tot Tsavo East with Marco Polo Safari's. Everything went smoothly, from contact in advance by email to the safari itself. Our driver Michael really went out of his way to show us the lions. We enjoyed the short adventure together with our two children. On our next trip to Kenya, we will definitely contact Marco again!

Jambo kenya I am absolutely grateful to Marco Polo safari and his driver Bonnie to made me realize one of my child's dream. I traveled with two girlfriends and we had a blast! Brilliant 3 day/2 night Tsavo West and East Safari We did the 3 day/2 night safari in Tsavo West and Tsavo East, staying at Saltlick on the first night and Tsavo Sentrim Camp on the second night. Amos - our amazing driver - picked us up from our Diani hotel at 5am and drove us towards Tsavo West with a brief stop en route. We had a lunchtime drive around the park before lunch at Saltlick followed by a late afternoon drive. Amos was brilliant throughout - always polite, helpful and kind, and letting us enjoy the unforgettable experience at our own pace. The next day we had a morning drive before checking out and having another viewing drive en route to Tsavo East. We then checked in at Sentrim camp before another afternoon drive, and another drive on our way out the next morning. A brilliant experience all round and highly recommended!
