We were only two friends who did safari in Kenya for the first time. Marco Polo designed a tailored-made trip for us just the way we liked it! We had Bonface (Bonnie) as a Guide-Driver who was fun, caring, patient and supportive. He has amazing skills and luck in spotting animals that led us to have not only the chance for observing wildlife as long as we liked but most importantly to be in the right place in the right time to have best spots for shots and be close to animals. Imagine leopard walking or hiena chilling 4 meters away from your car. He knew when to wait a bit or when to leave! Unforgettable trip, great atmosphere. We will be back on a safari with Marco Polo again!!!

Fantastic experience We have just returned from an incredible 3-day safari with Marco Polo Safaris, and it was without doubt one of the highlights of our holiday in Kenya.
From the very beginning, communication was excellent. The team helped us organise everything while we were still in the UK, and then finalised the remaining details once we arrived in Kenya. Everything was straightforward, and we were picked up promptly by our guide, Henry.
Henry was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. His ability to spot wildlife was amazing, and thanks to him we saw an incredible range of animals including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos, cheetahs, jackals, banded mongooses, monkeys, and so many beautiful birds.
A particular highlight was the night safari that Henry helped make possible. It was an unforgettable experience. We heard two male lions roaring in the darkness, saw a lioness with her three cubs, spotted a jackal, and experienced the African bush at night – something we'll never forget.
Unfortunately, on our final morning our safari vehicle developed a mechanical fault, meaning we missed our planned early game drive. However, these things can happen, especially given the condition of some of the roads. Marco Polo Safaris handled the situation brilliantly. They arranged for another colleague to take us out on one final safari drive, ensuring we didn't miss out. On the journey back the vehicle broke down again, but Hakuna Matata – that's all part of the adventure! The team quickly organised another driver, and we were safely returned to our hotel.
We can't thank Henry enough for making our safari so memorable. His enthusiasm, knowledge, patience and warm personality really made the trip special. Fantastic safari From the moment we contacted Marco we were impressed with everything. Contact was easy and he tailor made our 3 night safari in Amboseli, Tsavo West and East. The lodges chosen were great and I will write separate reviews on them. He changed the lodge on the last night as the recent reviews of the original lodge on the last night had not been good. Abdul our guide was brilliant collecting us on time from our hotel in Nairobi and driving us to Amboseli for the first day. He was a great guide, pointing out animals that we could not have seen without his expertise. We then went on to Tsavo and the whole time, he was very informative about life in Kenya and the animals. We were dropped at our hotel in Diani at the end. Would definitely recommend Marco Polo and Abdul. We felt the safari was very good value.

Amazing trip to Tsavo East with Marco Polo Safaris We booked the 2-days trip to Tsavo and it was just amazing! We were picked up at our hotel in Diani Beach early in the morning at 6.00am. Around 10am we arrived the Bachuma gate of Tsavo East. We saw so many animals like lions, giraffes, different kind of antilopes and so many big herds of elephants, also some very small baby’s! we did 3 gamedrives; 1 when we arrived, 1 after lunch late in the afternoon and the third one late in the morning of day 2.

Our driver Amos stopped everywhere were we wanted to stop and gives enough time to watch and photograph the animals. He is a good and very safe driver, also in the busy city of Mombasa.

We slept at Voi lodge, a beautiful lodge near the park. Nice rooms, good food and a swimmingpool with view at the waterhole were we saw the waterbucks. Very special.

We enjoyed every minute of our safari with Marco Polo and recommend this agency and of course our driver Amos!
