Unforgettable Safari experience thanks to Mathias!! Marco from Marco Polo Safari helped us book an amazing safari experience to Tsavo Park East, we got a private car for the 3 of us at a great price. I cannot say enough about our amazing tour guide Mathias, it would have been an incredible experience regardless, but he took it to the next level. Very kind, friendly, treated us like family and was extremely knowledgeable! He shared a lot of information about Kenya, history, geography, current events, nature . And a true expert on all things in Tsavo Park! With decades of experience, he knew all the animal hotspots, He showed us the big five and more!! Car was very comfortable, and the camp we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. At the end of the trip he offered to take us to a Maasai village, where we got a tour of their homes, village, and were treated to a traditional dance. On my next trip to Diani, we will be using Marco Polo to book more excursions and personally requesting Mathias to get some time with this incredible man!! Sensational Safari! Just returned from 3 day safari in Tsavo East/West. This was booked as a "special" holiday for my 50th but had to be postponed for 3 yrs due to Pandemic. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT.
Truely wonderful time, the hotels were top notch (Anil, and Saltlick) and food delicious. The animals were amazing - getting up close and personal to a pride of Lionesses was a highlight as was virtually sharing the waterhole at Saltlick with a buffalo (watched from the viewing tunnel).
But it was Michael, our driver, who made the trip truely special, he was both knowledgeable and super company, we would have happily stayed for another 3 days. Thank you Marco & Michael, I hope we can return soon for some rhino spotting!

Amazing The 5 days safari to Amboseli was amazing. Richard is a fantastisch driver, and Patrick was our guide. We saw 10 lions…yeehaaa. We visited Saltlick lodges, the place where magic never ends.

- FIRST OF ALL:
When you come to Kenia, support the people here and book a safari with them! At the hotel they might tell you, all the others are unprofessional or dangerous, but that is simply not true! The kenians are really friendly and live from the tourism.
Of course you shouldnt trust anybody at the beach, but MARCO POLO has an office at diani and is fair to his employees!

Here my experience:

Our driver was brilliant and we saw every animal close!
Sometimes there is not much time to see the animals, so the driver has to be skilled and focused. The 15 years experience from "Amos" where so important to get fast through the park and to get a good position to make Fotos and Videos.
The car was a great "landcruiser safari Edition" you feel comfortable and safe.

I recommend going to amboseli 100%! Tsavo east also brilliant!
In Tsavo west, weren't as many animals as in amboseli, but the salt lick lodge where animals come next to your room to drink is amazing.

They were professional all the time and we are happy we made it with them!!
