Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, where you’re met and transferred to your city hotel, Nairobi Safari Club on bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: Whole day in Nairobi
Karen Blixen + Giraffe Manor and Nairobi Animal Orphanage.
After breakfast we begin the Kenya Safari with a visit to the former home of famous novelist Karen von Blixen, the house contains many of her original pieces along with some pieces donated by makers of the film “Out of Africa”. Stop at Kazuri Bead Factory where you have an opportunity to see how the beads are made. Then continue to the Giraffe centre where you have the chance to feed the giraffe from an elevated platform.
In the afternoon we visit the Nairobi Animal Orphanage where will get a chance to see deadliest animals in their dens and cages. Dinner at Carnivore and overnight in your hotel.
Day 3:Nairobi – Masai Mara
After breakfast we depart for the world-famous Masai Mara game reserve, driving through the picturesque Rift Valley, with its awe-inspiring panoramas.
Game viewing as we enter the park on our way to Mara Sopa lodge or similar for lunch. After lunch we’re out for our first game drive proper, looking out for lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, gazelle, bongo, cheetah, leopard, rhino and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at Fig Tree Camp or Oloshaiki Camp or Olumara Camp. Other alternative accommodation in the Masai Mara are: Mara Governor’s Camp ; Royal Mara Safari Lodge ; Ashnil Mara Camp ; Karen Blixen Camp
Day 4 – 5: Masai Mara
The two whole day is dedicated to game spotting in the reserve, which is the natural extension of the famous Serengeti national park in northern Tanzania. Optional excursions here include a visit to a Masai Village or a hot-air balloon ride. All meals and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast we leave for Lake Nakuru national park, world-famous for its concentration of millions of pink flamingoes. After lunch we’re out for game viewing. Common spots here include waterbuck, leopard, buffalo, eland, Rothschild giraffe, bushbuck, gazelle, etc. We’ll also visit the Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight in Lake Nakuru Lodge, overlooking the lake.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo
After breakfast we drive through an awe-inspiring vistas of great rift valley, arriving at the Lodge or Camp in time for lunch.
In the afternoon we take a boat ride on the lake, or optional visit to the Njemps tribe, one of the smallest in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Samatian Island. Other alternatives are Tumbili Cliff Lodge, Roberts Camp.
Day 8: Lake Baringo – Lake Naivasha
Depart after breakfast, stopping at Lake Bogoria for game viewing (possibility to see millions of pink flamingos). Continue to Naivasha, arriving at Lake Naivasha Country Club for lunch. Afternoon boat ride on the lake. Dinner and overnight at the Club.
Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli
After breakfast we depart for Amboseli national park, driving leisurely up the Rift Valley escarpment. Lunch will be at the famous Nairobi Carnivore Restaurant, renowned for its succulent grilled steaks, including game meat. After lunch we continue to Amboseli, game viewing as we enter the park. Dinner and overnight in Kibo Safari camp.
Day 10: Amboseli – Nairobi
After breakfast route for Nairobi we check in the Nairobi Safari club for a day use. We refresh and enjoy the hotel facility and later transfer to the airport for your international flight. End of the Safari.
