Day 1: Diani Beach – Tsavo East (approx. 180 km, approx. 3.5 hours)
We pick you up from your hotel very early in the morning and drive along the road between Mombasa and Nairobi. Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest game reserves in the world and famous for its huge herds of red elephants, man-eating lions and many birds. There are also a variety of other animals such as buffalo, giraffe and zebra. We then visit Aruba Dam (a man-made dam), located in the middle of the park, where a high concentration of animals can be seen in the dry season. We then drive to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will rest until 16h00. In the afternoon you go on a game drive and look out for red elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras and many bird species. From 16:00 hrs to 18:30 hrs dinner and overnight at Satao Camp or Ashnil Aruba Lodge or Manyatta Camp (5 or 4 stars respectively).
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park
Early morning game viewing before breakfast, after breakfast game viewing as you leave the park and return to your hotel on the coast arriving in the afternoon.
Route
7 days safari starting from Nairobi to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, then to Amboseli and back to Nairobi.
10 day safari from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, the Aberdares, Lake Nakuru, then on to the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West National Park, and arriving on the 10. day at Diani Beach.
5 days Kenya Safari from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, on to the Masai Mara, followed by a return flight from Nairobi to Diani Beach.
2 days by plane to the Masai Mara, from Ukunda, Mombasa or Nairobi, depending on availability and subsequent safari in the Masai Mara with a 4×4 Jeep.
