Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare’s (approx. 154 km).
Marco Polo Safaris representative will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or from the airport and transfer you to Aberdares National Park (3.5 hours drive). There, you will check in and have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Ark Hotel, which has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges, allowing for excellent game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals will come to you! Late dinner and overnight at the Ark Lodge or Treetops Hotel .

Day 2: Aberdares – Samburu National Park (approx. 197 km).
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Samburu National Park. The drive takes 2 hours, with a stop at the equator near the town of Nanyuki. Afterwards, transfer to the camp. Arrive in time for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, we traverse the reserve in search of reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, oryx antelopes, and yellow-billed ostriches. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Simba Lodge .

Day 3: Samburu National Park
Morning safari before breakfast. After breakfast, game viewing with a packed lunch. The reserve is known for its rare and unique animal species. Among these are long-necked gereuques, Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, and Beisa antelopes. The shy Kenyan leopard is known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Other animals in the park include elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, lions, leopards, and hippos. The birdlife is as diverse as the animal world, comprising over 350 different species of birds, including vultures, kingfishers, rabbits, chickens, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches, and others. Day 4: Samburu National Park – Meru National Park (Ca 76 Kms)
Early morning breakfast at camp. Departure to Meru National Park with a game drive en route. Arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, relax at your lodge or camp until 4:00 a.m. In the evening, you will go on a game drive to observe lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, black rhinos, zebras, gazelles, oryx, and some of the rarer antelope species such as the lesser kudu and the zebra print. The more common dik-dik, one of Africa’s smallest antelopes, can also be seen here. Over 300 bird species have been recorded. Dinner and overnight stay at IKWETA Safari Camp.
Day 5: From Meru National Park to Nairobi Airport – Flight to Mombasa – Transfer (225.9 km)
Breakfast at camp. After breakfast, you will return to Nairobi on a game drive. Arrive in Nairobi around mid-afternoon. Transfer to Nairobi Airport for your evening flight to Mombasa. Our driver will transfer you to your coastal hotel.
