The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is situated directly on the annual wildebeest “Great Migration” route, near the two world famous wildebeest migration Mara River crossing points and near Leopard Gorge, all made internationally known by the BBC’s Big Cat Diary television program. The tented lodge and camp is located on the popular Hippo Bend Lagoon of the Mara River.

The Royal Mara’s eight luxury guest accommodation suites, all with Mara River frontage, are built on elevated mahogany wood decks with private verandas. Mpata Safari Club sits high on the edge of the Oloololo escarpment with panoramic views across the Maasai Mara Plains, adjoining the Maasai Mara National Reserve, i.e.,“Kingdom of Wild Life in East Africa”. It set in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area, bordering the Masai Mara Game Reserve, at the foot of the Aitong Hills. The lodge is positioned on an ox-bow of the Mara River, with a splendid view of the hippo-filled waters. It is surrounded by well-cultivated gardens dotted with indigenous trees. The Mara Safari Club is only 5 hours drive from Nairobi, 45 minute flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) and 10-minute drive from Ngerende Airstrip.

The camp is an all season camp located along the banks of the Olaro Orok River, on the boundry of masai mara game reserve and Mara North conservancy. Olumara Camp brings about comfort and convenience in a unique luxurious way to all safari lovers. The camp comprises just 10 tents and 1 family tent thus enhancing personalized services and bringing the home away from home feeling. Olumara is hidden in the shadow of indigenous trees. The camp recreates the atmosphere of the natural environment. Each room is furnished to a complete standard. The beds have been hand carved from specially selected wood from fallen trees. The interior of each tent also includes a hot and cold Shower, flush toilet, dressing area and a mirror. Each tent has a large, extended Balcony for relaxation, reading, and game viewing or even holding private events e.g. private dinners.

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their centre.
